Monitor the goals and objectives of the State Plan for Career and Technical Education to determine the extent to which they are being achieved.
Collaborate with other agencies and councils to pursue strategies that will lead to a statewide comprehensive workforce development system.
Conduct special studies and audits as requested by the Governor, the General Assembly and the State Board of Education.
Design, sponsor and implement professional development activities including curriculum workshops, staff development seminars and issues forums for individuals from the public and private sectors involved in the delivery of career and technical education programs and services.
Develop and disseminate career-related publications, guides, newsletters and reports.
Provide technical assistance to local education agencies to replace the general education track in Delaware’s traditional comprehensive high schools with sequential career and technical programs that will better prepare students for the workforce.
Conduct and sponsor public information and recognition projects that identify and promote successful career and technical programs and activities.
